Orbis receives Champion for Vision award

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Orbis International, sometimes better known as the Flying Eye Hospital, was lauded as a Champion for Vision at the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus meeting here.The Orbis organization first invited a pediatric ophthalmologist to join its flight team 30 years ago and has since established or strengthened more than 50 pediatric eye care centers across the globe, AAPOS President M. Edward Wilson, MD, told colleagues at the award presentation.

Inotek reports $68 million net loss in 2015

Inotek Pharmaceuticals reported a net loss of $68 million in 2015 compared with $9.5 million in 2014, according to a press release. This included “$42.8 million in non-cash expenses associated with marking the 2020 convertible notes derivative liability to market value at the time of the conversions,” the release said.
