Endophthalmitis rate low after intravitreal injections
SEATTLE — The rate of infectious endophthalmitis after intravitreal anti-VEGF injection is low, according to a meta-analysis presented here in a poster. In cases that were reported over the past 7 years, the most common causative organisms were coagulase-negative staphylococci and Streptococcus species.
