Predictive Value of Confocal Scanning Laser for the Onset of Visual Field Loss

We were interested to read the paper by Larrosa et al published in the August 2012 issue of Ophthalmology. The authors report the ability of Moorfields regression analysis (MRA) to predict the onset of glaucoma in a population of patients with suspected glaucoma owing to the appearance of the optic nerve head. As the authors point out in their conclusion, the temporal–inferior and temporal–superior positions of the MRA are highly predictive for the onset of visual field loss in glaucoma suspects.
