PPV improves macular sensitivity in BRVO with serous retinal detachment

Pars plana vitrectomy may be more effective in improving macular sensitivity in branch retinal vein occlusion patients with serous retinal detachment compared with patients with cystoid macular edema, according to a study.The interventional case series included 20 eyes of 20 patients with BRVO and macular edema who were categorized into two groups. The cystoid macular edema group comprised eight patients, and the serous retinal detachment group comprised 12 patients.
