Preloaded injector falls short in providing safe predictable IOL delivery
A preloaded IOL injection system failed to provide safe and predictable IOL insertion, according to a study.The prospective study included 85 eyes of 85 patients who underwent phacoemulsification; patients’ mean age was 73.1 years. All eyes received an AcrySof IQ SN60WS single-piece 6-mm hydrophobic acrylic IOL (Alcon) preloaded and delivered with Alcon’s AcrySert injector system.
