Association between Perifoveal Hyperfluorescence and Serous Retinal Detachment in Diabetic Macular Edema – Corrected Proof

Objective: To study the association between the fluorescence levels on fluorescein angiography images and the characteristics on spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD OCT) images in diabetic macular edema (DME).Design: Retrospective, observational, cross-sectional study.Participants: One hundred sixty-seven consecutive eyes of 116 patients with diabetic retinopathy for whom FA and SD OCT were performed on the same day.Methods: Fluorescein angiography using the Heidelberg Retina Angiograph 2 and OCT images using Spectralis OCT (Heidelberg Engineering, Heidelberg, Germany) were obtained.
