Cross-linking halts ectasia progression after LASIK, PRK

Corneal cross-linking halted the occurrence of ectasia progression after LASIK and PRK while improving corrected distance visual acuity and maximum keratometry readings, according to a study.Twenty-six eyes of 26 patients were included in the retrospective study; 23 eyes experienced ectasia after LASIK and three eyes experienced ectasia after PRK. Mean patient age was 35 years. Patients were followed up for a mean of 25 months.
