The January 2013 issue of Ophthalmology includes an article by Kaufman et al that provides an excellent review of the surgical options and adjuvants used in surgery for pterygia. Labeled as a “Report by the American Academy of Ophthalmology,” the authors focus on the surgical outcome of recurrence and include randomized controlled trials in the literature review.
