Visual outcomes good after implantation of scleral-fixated IOLs
Scleral-fixated IOLs showed good long-term visual outcomes with minimal complications, according to a study.The retrospective study comprised 104 eyes of 99 Chinese patients in whom primary or secondary scleral-fixated IOLs were implanted between 1997 and 2008.Main outcome measures were visual results and complications. At the time of surgery, mean patient age was 67.1 years, and mean follow-up was 73.4 months.
