Trifocal aspheric diffractive IOL improves near, intermediate and distance vision
A trifocal aspheric diffractive IOL restored vision at different distances after microincision cataract surgery, according to a study.The prospective study included 40 eyes of 20 patients with bilateral cataract. Patients underwent sutureless microincision cataract surgery and implantation of a FineVision IOL (Physiol) through a 1.8-mm corneal incision.Investigators assessed monocular and binocular ETDRS visual acuity, refractive status, defocus curve and contrast sensitivity 1 month and 6 months after surgery.
