Ophthotech initiates Fovista expansion trials

The first of three planned expansion trials has been initiated for Fovista, according to an Ophthotech press release.Researchers will examine the antiplatelet-derived growth factor (anti-PDGF; Fovista, Ophthotech) combination therapy as a potential treatment for sub-retinal fibrosis reduction and treatment responses.
