Zeiss presents new IOLMaster 700 with swept-source biometry

LONDON — Carl Zeiss Meditec presented the company’s new IOLMaster 700 with swept-source biometry here. The device allows for optimized workflows in cataract surgery, according to experts at a press event here.The device offers similar workflow for the implantation of toric IOLs, compared with the IOLMaster 500, and takes a full-length OCT image, Karlheinz Rein of Carl Zeiss Meditec said at press briefing at the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. This full-length imaging technique may also detect unusual eye geometrics, he said.
