Serum soluble Flt-1 may be a biomarker for the development of neovascular age-related macular degeneration, according to study findings.Researchers analyzed 56 subjects without AMD, 53 subjects with early AMD and 97 subjects with neovascular AMD and measured serum soluble Flt-1 (sFlt-1) concentrations from each subject.
