VIDEO: Cataract surgery complication rates drop in study of resident-performed phaco cases
KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. — At the Kiawah Eye 2015 meeting, Amanda Limbaugh, MD, discusses a study looking at cataract surgery complication rates in surgeries performed by residents at one Veterans Administration facility between 2010 and 2013. The study found complication rates decreased over time, most likely due to the use of a new microscope during surgery.
