PDEK with glued IOL, pupilloplasty may be effective for endothelial decompensation

The combination of glue-assisted intrascleral IOL fixation with pupilloplasty and pre-Descemet’s endothelial keratoplasty may be effective in some cases of endothelial decompensation, according to a study.Five eyes underwent the single-stage procedure, in which glued IOL fixation was performed to secure the IOL before pupilloplasty was done to stabilize the anterior chamber and prevent air diversion into the vitreous cavity. PDEK was then performed.
