Just a few days ago we reported on how scientists at UC Davis are using hollow shells of the Hepatitis E virus to safely transport drugs through the digestive system and into the rest of the body. We held a hangout with a couple of the researchers behind the project discussing their latest findings, applications for fighting cancers and other diseases, and the challenges of applying them in clinical practice.
