VIDEO: Study shows resident-performed LRI visual results superior with femtosecond laser
KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. — At the Kiawah Eye meeting here, Reid Turner, MD, discusses research looking at manual vs. femtosecond laser-assisted limbal relaxing incisions following cataract surgery performed by residents. The research found a statistically significant difference in postoperative uncorrected visual acuity favoring LRI performed with femtosecond laser over LRI performed manually.
