An implantable IOP measurement device provides constant IOP monitoring in pseudophakic patients with glaucoma, according to a surgeon involved in its development.The Eyemate (Implandata Ophthalmic Products) is expected to be commercially available in Europe in late 2016 or early 2017, according to H. Burkhard Dick, MD, PhD, OSN Europe Edition Board Member and an investigator in a clinical trial of the device.
