Fresenius Kabi to acquire Akorn
Akorn will be acquired by Fresenius Kabi for $4.3 billion, or $34 per share, according to a press release from the companies.Approximately $450 million of debt will also be assumed in the transaction, which has been approved by the boards of both companies. Akorn shareholders will still need to approve the deal, which is expected to close by early 2018.
