VIDEO: Compromised lid seal may be found in significant dry eye cases

BALTIMORE ― At the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology meeting, Donald Korb, OD, discusses research he has conducted looking at patients whose eyes close but do not seal while they sleep, which leads to a much greater prevalence of significant dry eye. Patients with significant dry eye who are recalcitrant to treatment may have a compromised lid seal while sleeping.
