Surgeon highlights advantages and limitations of corneal refractive procedures for presbyopia

MILAN — Q-LASIK should be the procedure of choice for low myopic patients with presbyopia, according to one surgeon.“Results are very good in low myopes. Hyperopes in presbyopic age keep changing refraction, and this depends on the lens and not on the cornea; therefore, they are better treated with [refractive lens exchange],” Antonio Marinho, MD, said at the OSN Italy meeting.
