Medicare coverage for Argus II system expanded
A Medicare coverage expansion will now allow the Argus II retinal prosthesis system to be covered in seven of 12 Medicare Administrative Contractor jurisdictions in the United States, according to a press release from Second Sight Medical Products.The jurisdictions include 28 states, two territories and the District of Columbia, an expansion that added Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington, D.C., the release said.
