NEW ORLEANS — Alcon introduced the UltraSert delivery system, which is preloaded with an AcrySof IQ aspheric monofocal IOL, at the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting here.
The UltraSert is designed to deliver an untouched IOL directly into the eye of cataract surgery patients in three preparation steps. It has a longer 3-mm nozzle tip with a depth guard and is designed for incisions as small as 2.2 mm, according to a press release from the company.
