The Argus II retinal prosthesis system has been implanted in the first patient in Singapore, according to a press release from Second Sight Medical Products.
The surgery, performed at the Singapore National Eye Center on Jan. 18, was completed by Edmund Wong, MMed(Ophth), FRCS(Ed), and Laurence Lim, FRCS(Ed), FAMS, on a 62-year-old man with retinal degeneration.
