LayerBio awarded $1.2 million to develop sustained-release glaucoma formulation

LayerBio has been awarded a $1.2 million small business grant from the National Eye Institute in order to develop a sustained-release travoprost formulation for the treatment of glaucoma, according to a press release.
The formulation is based on LayerBio’s PolyNet platform, a network polymer-based drug delivery technology, the release said.
