VIDEO: Early data ‘encouraging’ for epi-on cross-linking technique
VIENNA — Epi-on is going to be the future of cross-linking, according to François Malecaze, MD, PhD, who delivered early data at the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons meeting regarding a prospective trial of an epi-on cross-linking technique in patients with keratoconus. The technique involves use of a mask to enhance the level of oxygen in the corneal stroma.
