US surgeons now implanting Visian toric ICL

STAAR Surgical announced the first U.S. patients have been implanted with the Visian toric ICL after its FDA approval in September.
The procedures were performed at Brinton Vision in St. Louis and Parkhurst NuVision in San Antonio on Oct. 22. The lens has been available outside of the U.S. since 2002, according to a press release.
The lens is indicated for patients between 21 and 45 years of age for the correction of myopic astigmatism with spherical equivalent ranging from –3 D to –15 D and cylinder of 1 D (Read more...)
