Side effects of cosmetic procedures may masquerade as ocular surface disease

The cosmetics industry is currently valued at more than $3 billion per year, and its growth does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon. With the pursuit of beauty and the advent of new products being trialed on the eyes of our patients, it behooves us as clinicians to understand these trends and their potential side effects.
