Richard L. Litwin, MD, has been selected as the winner of the 2019 American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Foundation’s Chang Humanitarian Award, according to a press release.
Litwin began his volunteer work with a high-volume cataract surgery mission trip at Aravind Eye Hospital in India in 1982. He has continued to volunteer with the Seva Foundation, making annual month-long trips to Asia, the release said.
