PhysIOL, a subsidiary of BVI, has launched the FineVision Triumf extended depth of focus trifocal presbyopia-correcting IOL in Europe for patients undergoing cataract surgery, according to a press release.
The IOL combines trifocal technology and EDOF optics and is designed to improve intermediate vision and reduce side effects of low light conditions, the release said.
It is free of longitudinal chromatic aberration at far and intermediate focus points, where glare and halos appear, resulting in higher contrast sensitivity, less risk for photic phenomena and improved low light vision.
