Laurent Fischer, MD, has joined Adverum Biotechnologies as CEO.
Fischer, who is also joining the board of directors, replaces Leone Patterson, who has been in executive leadership roles at Adverum for 4 years. Patterson will continue to serve as the company’s president.
“I am delighted to join the team at Adverum at this pivotal stage of the company’s growth. This high-performing team has done a phenomenal job executing on developing ADVM-022, a potential one-time treatment for wet AMD and diabetic macular edema,” Fischer said in a press release.
