Survey may shed light on ocular manifestations of COVID-19

The WHO COVID-19 global literature database contained nearly 85,000 publications as of Sept. 23, but ophthalmologists are still working to discover patterns and effects the disease may have on eyes.
A recent database search returned 323 publications including the word “ocular,” 489 publications including the word “eye” and 231 publications including the word “ophthalmology.” The results represent increases of 46%, 39% and 36%, respectively, compared with an early August search.
