The board of directors of Second Sight Medical Products has named Scott Dunbar as acting CEO, according to a press release.
Dunbar, senior patent counsel and compliance officer, has been with the company for 19 years and replaces Matthew Pfeffer, who will remain on Second Sight’s board as an independent director. Pfeffer was named as acting CEO in 2020 but could not remain in the position for more than 1 year under Nasdaq rules.
