In this Healio Video Perspective from the virtual ARVO meeting, Jennifer Lim, MD, discusses results from the ongoing Protocol W study of aflibercept in eyes with nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy.
At the end of 2 years, Protocol W did not show a difference in visual acuity between the two groups of eyes in the study but did show a reduction in the rates of progression from moderate and severe nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy to proliferative diabetic retinopathy and center-involved diabetic macular edema.
