Mark A. Bullimore, MCOptom, PhD, FAAO, FARVO, presented a poster at this year’s ARVO virtual meeting focused on the link between growing rates of myopia and projected visual impairment in the U.S.
“What we’ve done here is quantified the role of myopia in visual impairment,” Bullimore said. “What we can also do is predict what might be achieved by slowing myopia by a diopter and also preventing or lowering the incidence of myopia in the future.”
