Fauci tests positive, is experiencing mild COVID-19 symptoms, NIAID says

Anthony S. Fauci, MD, has tested positive for COVID-19 and is experiencing mild symptoms, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said Wednesday.
Fauci, who heads the NIAID and is the chief medical advisor to President Joe Biden, tested positive via a rapid antigen test, the NIAID said.
Fauci, who is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and has received two booster shots, has not been in close contact with Biden or other senior government officials recently, the NIAID said.
