SAN FRANCISCO — In this Healio Video Perspective from the AAO meeting, Edward J. Holland, MD, and Shigeru Kinoshita, MD, PhD, discuss the U.S. phase 1/2 trial for Aurion Bitoech’s AURN001 cell therapy for treatment of corneal edema.
The therapy, which was invented by Kinoshita, received regulatory approval from Japan’s Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency in March of this year. The first participant was dosed in the phase 1/2 trial last month.
