Terry Kim, MD, is joining Alcon as chief medical officer and head of global medical safety, according to a press release.
In this role, Kim will help guide the integration of scientific and clinical priorities in Alcon’s surgical and vision care franchises to meet the needs of eye care practitioners and patients globally.
Kim, a professor of ophthalmology at Duke University Eye Center, will also “support the development of surgical and vision care clinical evidence and represent Alcon to academic, scientific and industry communities as well as government agencies.”
