The AI-based software startup company iHealthScreen has been awarded a U.S. patent for its iPredict glaucoma detection system, the company announced in a press release.
The platform uses high-resolution images of the eye and retina taken via a color fundus camera and provides a fully automated glaucoma detection report in less than 60 seconds with 94.3% accuracy, the release stated. Results will indicate whether a patient needs to be referred to a glaucoma specialist.
