SEATTLE — In this Healio Video Perspective from the ARVO meeting, Neda Gioia, OD, CNS, FOWNS, discusses two studies investigating a novel oral supplement for patients with dry eye disease from Bausch + Lomb.
The primary efficacy outcomes of the studies were dry eye severity and tear volume, as measured through Ocular Surface Disease Index score and Schirmer’s test score, respectively. Gioia reported that both studies, one of which was conducted in the U.S. and the other in India, showed similar efficacy results, with statistically significant improvements in disease severity
