LAS VEGAS — Visionix introduced the VX 610 nonmydriatic automated fundus camera to attendees at Vision Expo West.
Features include auto alignment, focus and capture functions and a compact footprint, according to a company press release. Pupil dilation is not necessary with the instrument’s cross-polarized light technology.
Visionix distribution sales manager Justin Davidson told Healio that the space-saving instrument requires only a 2-mm pupil.
“And as opposed to using a chin rest, we use a forehead rest,” he said. “Darkness is key when you’re not dilated.”
