
A 35-year-old woman at 20 weeks and 3 days of pregnancy presented to the Tufts Medical Center retina service with complaints of blurred vision in the right eye. She had no complaints regarding the left eye.
She denied pain, photophobia, new flashes or floaters in either eye. The blurring in the right eye was constant and began 11 months ago. Her pregnancy course up to this point was unremarkable. She initially sought evaluation by a local ophthalmologist but was referred for a second opinion.
