Thomas J. Appio, current Bausch + Lomb chairman of the board, will now also lead Bausch + Lomb as interim CEO, according to a company press release.
Appio first joined Bausch + Lomb in 2010 as managing director, China and took over as president of Bausch + Lomb International in 2016. He transitioned to his role as Bausch Health CEO in 2022 and took over as chairman of the Bausch + Lomb board of directors in August of this year, according to the release.
