NEW ORLEANS — In this video, Jennifer I. Lim, MD, discusses phase 2 data on OCU410 presented at the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting.
The trial evaluated OCU410 (Ocugen) subretinal gene therapy in patients with geographic atrophy. The one-time injection reduced the rate of ellipsoid zone loss by 27% and the rate of retinal pigment epithelium loss by 45%.
Lim called OCU410 a “promising potential new treatment” and noted that the phase 3 ArMaDa study of the therapy is ongoing.
