VIDEO: Combination therapy better manages postop inflammation

MILAN — At the OSN Italy meeting, Luigi Fontana, MD, talks about postoperative management of inflammation after cataract surgery. In a single center randomized clinical trial comparing efficacy of topical steroid alone or combination of corticosteroids and NSAIDs, Fontana said that inflammation was better managed by the combination therapy, which also led to a lower rate of cystoid macular edema.
