Several factors may help predict outcome of lamellar macular hole surgery

After lamellar macular hole surgery, poor visual outcome may be predicted by poor initial visual acuity, a disrupted inner segment/outer segment junction or a thin fovea, according to a study.The retrospective review included 30 eyes of 30 consecutive patients who underwent vitrectomy for lamellar macular hole.
