Visual field sensitivity higher in winter months

Visual field sensitivity was significantly higher in winter months, particularly in regions of the United States that exhibit vast seasonal climate changes, according to a study.The study authors wanted to determine if visual field sensitivity changed with the seasons and whether this change was associated with seasonal variations in IOP. The analysis involved 1,636 participants in the Ocular Hypertension Treatment Study who were divided into six geographic zones according to climate in their region.
