Videos: Mazzo, Steinert discuss opening of Gavin Herbert Eye Institute
The Gavin Herbert Eye Institute and Department of Ophthalmology opened this week at the University of California, Irvine's School of Medicine with a mission to "develop innovative technologies, clinical solutions and educational programs that enhance visual health and performance for people in Orange County, the nation and the world."Ocular Surgery News caught up with James V. Mazzo, operating partner of Versant Ventures, and Roger F. Steinert, MD, founding director of the institute.
