Corneal hysteresis correlated significantly with an elevated risk of glaucoma progression, according to a study.“Eyes with lower hysteresis had faster rates of visual field loss than those with higher hysteresis,” the study authors said. “An eye with a more deformable cornea could have an optic disc that is more susceptible to IOP damage.”
