Ophthalmic technician receives humanitarian award
Corinthia “Cory” Worrell has been named the recipient of the 2013 Virginia S. Boyce Humanitarian Award, according to a press release.The award, given by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology’s Education and Research Foundation, was established in 2000 in honor of Virginia Boyce, the CEO of Prevent Blindness from 1972 to 1982 and a longtime volunteer for JCAHPO and the foundation, the release said.
